Security in an Interconnected World
Every year, the German science year is held with a different theme. This year's theme is
computer science. With year translating to "jahr" and computer ccience to "Informatik",
the German name is "Informatikjahr".
The German Society of Computer Science (Gesellschaft für Informatik, GI) takes part
in the "Informatikjahr". On June 8, 2006, the GI's regional chapter for Südbaden will
present exemplary applications of computer science in robotics as well as security.
In addition, pupils and students can learn more about career opportunities in
computer science not only from the GI, but from the Albert-Ludwig University of Freiburg,
the Deutsche Telekom AG, and Booz Allen Hamilton, too.
ETRICS participants can visit this event for free which takes place during the same time
as and very close to the conference. For more information on the "Informatikjahr" event,
please see http://www.gi-suedbaden.de/informatikjahr
(page will open in a new window). Because the event is aimed at a German audience, the page is only available in German.
